Facebook is looking out for us (again). This time it’s FB’s new software and guidelines for its brand new, “cover pictures” on branding & marketing on FB “Pages.” No selling, please.…

The cover is the bigger-broader space for colorful branding image photographs, logos and profile images. If you don’t know where to put your profile image on the cover, FB has cut a hole for you.

Importantly, the new cover software is very simple to use. So, you can change your cover as often as you want. And, everyone else on FB can change theirs, too. This means everyone can keep up with everyone else all the time.

Large companies have professionals or agencies to brand, photograph, trademark and market their stuff.

Owner-operators will have to fend for themselves. Before long, our culture may expect the rise of the semi-pro, branding, ad-person cum photographer/graphic designer/webmaster.

Now what to do?

First, see what the pro’s are doing with their new cover spaces on Facebook. Our own 7-minute survey of first covers this week happened upon CaptainMorganUSA — the best of this wild bunch. Check it out. Can you do that?

Doubtful. But it can be fun trying to keep up with the real pro’s. Try it, if you don’t like your cover, well, then it’s easy to change. Try something bolder, better — who knows — maybe even viral. Or maybe not.

It’s free to the semi-pro. All you need is unlimited time, and hopefully, a modicum of talent for something that fits in the FB cover software.

Yukiko’s previous FB profile picture and “branding image”

My approach to floral design blends ikebana and contemporary styles — evolving with the seasons, refining to your taste.

The balance of flowers, foliage and branches gives life to your natural style: variety of arrangement and flower selection produce the living floral theme in subsequent arrangements.

Original floral designs reflect your signature style, your distinctive floral theme — periodical series of complementary arrangements designed to reflect your image in the important rooms of your gatherings, dinner parties, relaxing.

I provide regular flower arrangement service to create the design and develop the floral theme week by week: furnish flowers and install original floral designs for clients in Marin,
refresh the arrangements as needed, and replace them periodically with series of evolving, complementary designs.

Develop your theme with me: just call and we can focus it sensibly to make your floral theme a practical part of your life every day.
